Enrichment

At Montclaire, we believe in providing a well-rounded educational experience that extends beyond the regular school day. Our after-school enrichment activities are designed to ignite students' passions, foster their talents, and promote their holistic development. We offer a diverse range of clubs and programs that cater to various interests, and we are excited to expand our options even further in the coming school year.

Drama Club: Our Drama Club provides a creative outlet for students to explore their theatrical talents and develop confidence in public speaking. Through engaging activities and rehearsals, students delve into the world of acting, storytelling, and stagecraft. The Drama Club culminates in captivating performances that showcase the students' hard work and dedication.

Chess Club: Chess Club offers students an opportunity to engage in strategic thinking and enhance their problem-solving abilities. This intellectually stimulating club not only develops critical thinking skills but also fosters sportsmanship and camaraderie among its members. Students participate in friendly chess competitions and have the chance to learn from experienced chess enthusiasts.

Mathletes: For students who have a passion for numbers and mathematical challenges, our Mathletes program is the perfect fit. Through problem-solving exercises, mathematical games, and competitions, students further develop their mathematical skills and deepen their understanding of complex concepts. Mathletes nurtures teamwork and a love for math in a supportive and engaging environment.

Legos and Robotics: The Legos and Robotics program combines creativity, engineering, and technology to inspire students' imaginations. Participants explore the world of robotics, designing and building their own creations using Lego kits and other materials. They learn coding, problem-solving, and teamwork skills while experiencing the joy of bringing their designs to life.

Band: Our Band program offers students the opportunity to explore their musical talents and develop a lifelong appreciation for music. From wind instruments to percussion, students learn to read music, play in harmony, and perform together as a cohesive ensemble. Through rehearsals and performances, students develop discipline, teamwork, and a strong sense of musicality.

Soccer: Basketball: 4th and 5th grade will have the opportunity to join our school soccer team in the fall months.

Basketball: 4th and 5th grade will have the opportunity to join our school basketball team in the winter months.

We are planning to re-introduce Girls on the Run in the spring, empowering young girls through a curriculum that combines running with life skills lessons, confidence-building activities, and community engagement.

We greatly value the involvement of parents in our after-school activities. Your dedication and support make these programs possible, enriching the lives of our students and creating lasting memories. We encourage parents to join us as volunteers, helping us create new opportunities for our students and fostering a sense of community within our school.  Please let me know if you are interested in spear-heading either of the two programs above.
